Tonight at the Health Together gathering (a gathering of justice centered health care workers), we at the most fabulous food from The People’s Kitchen.

Considering that far too often, conference food entails fast food, going hungry or food that does not accommodate health/dietary needs. It was really wonderful to be treated to a meal that was made from all locally grown/caught food (there was fish from the U.P.) and that was gluten free and had vegan options!

Today starts the Allied Media Conference!

Today, I’ll be live tweeting/tumblring (not sure which yet, but I’ll keep you updated for sure!) the two sessions I’ll be attending—the first will be how to mobilize right now to keep the internet in the hands of the people (I’ll get the links for you later!), and the second will be a health justice gathering.

There will also be other live coverage, including a showcase of the work Detroit Future Youth have been doing all year! Of course, Detroit Future Youth are the group of students that tumblr did some heavy fundraising for to get them to the Allied Media Conference.
